COUNSELING AND DISCLOSURE IN RISK PREDICTION OF ALZHEIMER’S DEMENTIA: IMPACT ON MCI PATIENTS AND THEIR CAREGIVERS—THE PREDADQOL STUDY

      Today, a growing number of individuals with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) specifically ask for prediction of Alzheimer’s dementia (AD). However, the attitudes and expectations as well as the effects on quality of life (QOL) and mental health of persons with MCI and their caregivers before and after predictive diagnosis of AD are unknown. The PreDADQoL project aims at providing data on these topics and developing an ethical and legal framework on predictive diagnosis of AD to provide counseling and support for those affected.
